There were an estimated
200,000 excited people who gathered in Berlin today, to hear Obama speak during his stop at the Victory Tower in Berlin, Germany. In his acclaimed speech (the transcript for it is
here), Obama mentioned his youth and parents, his path to the Democratic nomination, the Middle East, terrorism, acknowledged that America has faults but strives for a "more perfect union" and urged the world to unite around common causes to solve the current pressing crises. The passionate speech was interrupted by cheers and chants about 40 times. Here is a picture that captures some of the massive audience (click on the picture to enlarge it):

In other news, McCain spoke to 50 people at a gas station in Berlin, Wisconsin. At least 48 of them were in his entourage. He also plans to visit (or has visited) cities named 'Berlin' in Ohio and Pennsylvania. McCain is so trifling, it's ridiculous.
