Michael Phelps is smacking up the competition at the Beijing Olympics. It's almost gangsterish. He's won 7 gold medals so far but intends to go home with eight. His complete domination in the pool has earned him the nickname, 'the human dolphin'. Some people are calling him the greatest Olympian ever. What do you think? I think that giving him that title is media driven, personally. There are too many important Olympic moments and champions that can't simply be dismissed...not to mention that some athletes that participate in the Olympics do so as a team and only have a chance to earn one medal. The greatest Olympic swimmer of all time? Maybe that is a more accurate moniker and easier for me to swallow.
